The article is dedicated to the study of constitutional grounds for ownership forms in Ukraine. The progressive order in any country depends on the solution of the following interrelated issues: ownership and power. Therefore, the constitutional establishment of power relations in the country must be accompanied by the corresponding constitutional declaration of ownership forms. Economic and legal essence of ownership is analyzed. Social, political, psychological and national essence of ownership is studied. The essence of public, collective, labor, nonlabor, private forms of ownership, as well as common heritage of the people are determined. The progressive experience of developed countries in various forms of ownership is studied. The need in constitutional declaration and practical implementation of various ownership forms in Ukraine is emphasized. Declaring all possible ownership forms is the duty of the legislator to provide progressive and comprehensive development of the society.
